His Goodness

They could point out his faults to me
Do you think that it would matter..
It isn't as if I cannot see
the things that make tongues chatter
His shortcomings are not hidden
and my love is not blind
I choose to gently put them away
in the closet of my mind
All of his indecisiveness
I have folded up and put away
into drawers no one sees
I decided to keep it that way
Oh, I have seen him at his worst
and his faults I do not deny
but the good in him is what I see
anything else....just let it be..let it be
The kindness in him outweighs the rest
And his courage I have seen
many times put to the test
His pride, his strength
and his strong will
has led him through deep dark valleys
and climbing a rugged steep and lonely hill
His sensitive soul too disturbed to sleep
has kept him awake..and I have heard him weep
There's a gentleness in him
that would make a woman proud
and his humor has kept me laughing
sometimes, right out loud.
Think of me not as one feeble
and maybe weak of mind
Though his faults are there to see
It's his goodness I choose to find
